How to login to FieldEdge

FieldEdge runs entirely from your NationBuilder login. To login to FieldEdge, you will need to know the slug of your nation plus your email and password.

What is a slug? Your slug is the first part of the URL when you are using the NationBuilder Dashboard, eg. mycampaign.nationbuilder.com ("mycampaign" is the slug in this case). 

If you were sent an email from FieldEdge, it should have listed your campaign/organisation's slug.

You may have been sent an invite from NationBuilder to activate your account. Before logging into FieldEdge, you will need to click the link in that email and set your password. Once this is done, you can use that password, along with your email address, to login to FieldEdge.

If you were never sent an invite from NationBuilder, don't know your slug or password, please touch base with your campaign/organisation. In most cases, we do not have this information.

MOBILE APP ERRORS

Solutions for when you are having trouble signing in to the app on your mobile:

Error Message
This app is not registered for use by this nation.

Solution
The iOS or Android FieldEdge Helper Apps have not been installed on your nation. Using an Admin account, login to your nation and go to "Setting > Apps > Install new app". Look for "FieldEdge for iOS" and "FieldEdge for Android" and click on the "Install" button for both. Note: After they are installed, they won't show under Installed Apps (due to an NB bug).

Error Message
You do not have permission to use this app.

Solution
The NB account you are signing in with does not have permission to use third-party apps (this includes FieldEdge). Contact the person who added you to the nation and advise them to enable "API > sign into apps" on your associated permission set. Learn more about FieldEdge and NationBuilder Permissions.

Error Message
Licence Error – It looks like (you@email) haven't yet been added to this FieldEdge team (yourslug).

Solution

The email address associated with the NB account you are logging in with needs to be added to your FieldEdge account. In some rare cases, the account you are logging in with has multiple email addresses on the profile. In this case, ensure the email address that has been marked as Primary is the one that has been added to your FieldEdge account.

Check that your slug is spelt correctly. The slug is the first part of the URL where you login to your nation. eg. myslug.nationbuilder.com

Solution
This is your nation's email address and password. If you have forgotten it, please follow these instructions on resetting your NationBuilder password.

Solution
There may be issues with your account, such as an old FieldEdge account using the same nation slug. Please contact us so we can the status of your subscription in our system.

WEBSITE DASHBOARD ERRORS

Solutions for when you are having trouble signing in to the Dashboard on our website:

The FieldEdge website now uses your NationBuilder account to authenticate your access. 

Firstly, be sure you are logging in at https://dashboard.fieldedgeapp.com.

When you arrive at this page, enter your nations slug (the first bit of your nation's control panel URL). Be sure the spelling is correct.

If at this point you try to login and receive an error about an incorrect username/password, please follow these instructions on resetting your NationBuilder password.
